Frequently Asked Questions

Honest answers about annual report filings, state fees, deadlines, payments, privacy, and how Bizfylr helps you stay compliant.

01

Fees & pricing

What’s included in $149 + state fees?

Our $149 service fee covers preparation of your annual report, validation against your state’s current requirements, submission on your behalf, and email status updates through to acceptance. State fees are the official charges set by your Secretary of State and are remitted directly to the state.

What are state fees?

Each state sets its own fee for accepting an annual report. The amount is determined by the state — not by us — and varies by state, entity type, and sometimes by entity size or assets. We collect the state fee at checkout along with our service fee and forward it to the state on your behalf.

02

Filing process

Do I need to know my state’s requirements?

No. Our wizard adapts to each state’s specifics, asking only for what your state actually requires. We highlight any state-specific quirks, including signature requirements and filing windows, inline as you go.

How long does filing take?

We typically prepare and submit within 1–2 business days of payment. The state’s acceptance time then varies — some accept the same day, others take a few weeks. You can check status anytime through the link in your confirmation email.

Will you remind me next year?

Yes. Once your filing is accepted we send you a reminder before your next due date. If you want fully hands-off coverage, our Compliance Subscription will handle the cycle automatically when it launches.

03

Deadlines & late filings

Can you help if I missed a deadline?

In most states, yes. We can prepare a late filing and, where applicable, help with a reinstatement path. Late penalties are set by the state; we calculate them up front so you see the total before paying.

04

Business record changes

What if my information is wrong on the state’s record?

You can correct most details — principal address, registered agent, officers — through your annual report itself. Some changes, like changing entity type or legal name, require a separate filing. We flag those during the wizard.

05

Payments

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept major credit and debit cards through our secure payment processor. We never store card numbers ourselves — payments are tokenized through the processor.

06

Privacy & disclosure

Is Bizfylr affiliated with the government?

No. Bizfylr is a private filing assistance service and is not affiliated with any state agency, the Secretary of State, the IRS, or any other government body. You may file directly with the state if you prefer.

How do you protect my information?

All traffic is encrypted with TLS, our checkout uses tokenized card data so we never see card numbers, and your tax ID is masked after entry — we keep only the last four digits for reference. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
